A Mala is a string of beads used for mantra or prayer repetition. Depending on the nature of the beads, a Mala can also protect the one who wears it. The purpose of the Global Mala Project is to unite the global yoga community from every continent in the world, forming a mala around the earth through collective intentions and practices based upon the sacred cycle of 108.
